  We can’t wait to come back next year! The food was great (get the oysters). The kids loved the pirates and the mermaids. There is an entire section of the festival dedicated to kids, with a funhouse, Ferris wheel, games etc. the music is vibrant and there are ample sanitary trailers (not gross porta-potties) scattered around. We took a free water taxi to get there and everyone was so friendly. Not a frown in site. Great time.

  I've gone to all but two, this year's wasn't as great at others. There was no trolley in areas there always had been, a friend who was with me tried to get a ticket at the gate like we always have but this year there was a separate area to buy tickets and it was a few blocks away from the entrance, way too crowded. I miss when it was mostly just locals. Around 6:30 my bf tried to get an Italian sausage, they said he had to pay with tickets but the ticket booth was already closed. I went to get some more food shortly after 7 but the seafood tents were already broken down even though the event says it ends at 8. The kid rides were expensive, $4-5 for a slide or 3 min ride per kid. $7 for one of them, really adds up when you have more than one kid or a kid who wants a parent to join.
